Balushahi is a traditional Indian sweet made from refined flour, deep-fried to a golden crisp, and soaked in sugar syrup. Flaky on the outside and soft inside, it is often enjoyed during festivals and celebrations across India.

Ingredients
• All purpose flour – 1 cup    
• Ghee – ½ cup
• Ghee for frying – 1 ½ cup    
• Sugar – ¾ cup
• Plain yogurt – ½ cup    
• Almonds-pistachio chopped cardamom powder – 6-7

Preparation
1. Add ghee and plain yogurts to all-purpose flour.
2. Knead the dough until soft.
3. Make 20 dough balls and flatten them between palms.
4. Heat the ghee in the frying pan and fry the flattened balls on medium heat.
5. Add sugar in water and boil to make the syrup.
6. Add cardamom powder to the sugar syrup and dip all fried balls into the syrup.
7. Balushai is ready.
8. Keep all ballushai in a plate and decorate with crushed almonds and pistachio.
